Bolnisi Gamgebeli and representatives of the district administration met with the protest participants and promised to resolve the salary problems

On June 5, 1999, around 200 employees of the Joint Stock Company “Madneuli Mining and Enrichment Plant” held a protest demanding the payment of six months’ worth of overdue salaries. The protest was called off after the governor of Bolnisi and representatives of the district administration met with the workers and promised to resolve the wage arrears issue.
